Product Description

Description: Itromac-100 capsule is an antifungal medication that is used in adults to treat infections caused by fungus. This includes infections in any part of the body including the lungs, mouth or throat, toenails, or fingernails.

Pharmaceutical Dosage Form: Capsule

Route of Administration: Oral

Composition: Each hard gelatin capsule contains:

Itraconazole                                   I.P.          100mg

Excipients                                                        q.s.

Mechanism of Action: Itraconazole belongs to the class of triazole antifungals. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption in the fungal cell membrane structure leads to the inhibition of fungal growth.

Indications: Itromac-100 capsule is commonly prescribed for the treatment of fungal infections such as: systemic fungal infections (aspergillosis, blastomycosis, histoplasmosis, and cryptococcosis), superficial fungal infections (skin, hair, nails and onychomycosis), yeast infections (candidiasis)

Dosage: As prescribed by the physician.

Decreased urine output

Contraindications: Itromac-100 capsules should not be administered for the treatment of onychomycosis in patients with evidence of ventricular dysfunction such as congestive heart failure (CHF) or a history of CHF.
