Description:
Terbutaline Sulphate is a beta-adrenergic agonist bronchodilator. Guaiphenesin is an expectorant. Bromhexine is a mucolytic agent (reduces the viscosity of tenacious mucous secretions, helping in expectoration). In addition, Bromhexine has antioxidant properties. Menthol gives a sensation of coolness.
Mechanism Of Action:
Terbutaline Sulphate relieves the congestion of the bronchial tract. Guaiphenesin helps to thin and loosen mucus in the lungs, making it easier to cough up the mucus. Bromhexine reduces the viscosity of tenacious mucous secretions, helping in expectoration.
Indications:
For symptomatic relief of bronchospasm in bronchial asthma and chronic bronchitis.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated with known hypersensitivity to any component of the medicine.
Side Effects:
Nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, diarrhea, dizziness, headache.
Dosage:
As directed by the physician.
