Pharmaceutical Dosage Form: Dry Injection

Route of Administration: Intramuscular/Intravenous

Composition: Each vial contains:

Hydrocortisone Sodium Succinate USP eq. to Hydrocortisone 100 mg

Mechanism of Action: Hydrocortisone has anti-inflammatory activity resulting from binding with a steroid receptor. It has a membrane sealing effect and inhibits accumulation of neutrophils and macrophages in the region of inflammation. It also reduces the migration of leukocytes and mastocytes into the tissue thus shows anti-proliferative, anti-oedematous effect

Indications: Torque’s Torcort H 100 is indicated for severe allergic, dermatologic, endocrine, gastrointestinal, hematologic, neoplastic, nervous system, ophthalmic, renal, respiratory, rheumatic disorders unresponsive to conventional treatments, localized inflammatory or hypertrophic lesions (e.g., alopecia areata, keloids, psoriatic plaques, ganglia). acute and chronic joint or soft tissue inflammatory conditions (e.g., arthritis, bursitis, tenosynovitis).

Dosage: As directed by the physician.

Storage: Store protected from moisture, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

Contraindications: Torque’s Torcort H 100 is contraindicated in patients with a known allergy to constituents or excipients, and in idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.

Drug Interactions: Torque’s Torcort H 100 can cause drug interaction with following drugs:

Anticoagulants

Digoxin

Cyclosporine

Phenobarbital

Phenytoin

Rifampin

Aspirin

Ketoconazole

CYP3A4 Inhibitors

CYP3A4 Inducers

Carbamazepine

Neuromuscular Blocking Agents

Antidiabetics
