DESCRIPTION:
Pantotor-D contains Pantoprazole which is a substituted benzimidazole proton pump inhibitor and Domperidone is an antidopaminergic agent.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Pantoprazole inhibits the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme, which is responsible for gastric acid secretion in the parietal cells of the stomach and irreversibly blocks the final step of acid secretion. It increases the motility of the GI tract by inhibiting the action of dopamine and fastens gastric emptying. Domperidone stimulates GI activity by acting as a competitive antagonist at the dopamine D2-receptor.
INDICATIONS:
Dyspepsia and Gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD).
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Pantoprazole is contraindicated in hepatic impairment; hypersensitivity. Domperidone is contraindicated in the history of hypersensitivity to dimenhydrinate or related compounds.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, rash, swelling.
ADR: Proton pump inhibitors can cause acute Kidney injury as an adverse drug reactions.
DOSAGE:
As directed by the physician.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Swallow pantoprazole tablets whole with a drink of water, Do not chew.
Take each dose an hour before a meal. Take pantoprazole at around the same time every day.
STORAGE:
Store in a cool, dry place, protect from light.
