MECHANISM OF ACTION:
The bactericidal action of gentamicin is based on an irreversible inhibition of the bacterial protein synthesis. Gentamicin elicits rapid bacterial action by acting directly on the bacterial ribosome, where it disrupts the normal cycle of ribosomal function. Additionally, Gentamicin includes misreading the genetic code of the mRNA template, leading to the incorporation of incorrect amino acids into the growing polypeptide chain.
INDICATIONS:
Used in bacterial infections such as lung, skin, bone, joint, stomach, blood, and urinary tract infections.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Known hypersensitivity to Gentamicin or any ingredient in the formulation.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Gentamicin occasionally causes side effects such as upset stomach, vomiting, fatigue, pale skin.
PRECAUTIONS:
Check properly before using, it must be free of any floating material.
Continue to use this medication till prescribed. Stopping the medication too early may allow bacteria to grow resulting in the return of the infection.

Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from light, Take out your next dose from the refrigerator 1 hour before using it.
