HEMO FORTE SYRUP

DESCRIPTION: Hemo Forte Syrup is a specialized nutritional supplement that combines Iron (III)-Hydroxide Polymaltose Complex and folic acid to address iron and folic acid deficiencies. Iron(III)-hydroxide Polymaltose Complex (IPC) is an iron preparation with non-ionic Iron and Polymaltose in a stable complex. Conventional iron salts contain iron in ferrous form, Iron Polymaltose Complex contains Iron in ferric form, thus preventing the formation of free radicals. It has rapid absorption, a high rate of iron utilization, effective haemoglobin production and excellent gastrointestinal tolerance. Folic Acid is a form of water-soluble vitamin B9 and is a key factor in the synthesis of nucleic acid (DNA & RNA). It is vital for the production of healthy red blood cells.

Mechanism of Action: Iron in Hemo Forte Syrup exist as iron (III)- hydroxide complex, where individual particles are embedded into a carbohydrate polymer (polymaltose). This prevents the iron from causing any harm in the gastrointestinal system. The Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose complex (IPC) is a water-soluble iron oxide, macromolecular complex of polynuclear iron (III) hydroxide that has distinct advantages over conventional iron preparations. As opposed to conventional iron salts that contain iron in ferrous form. Iron polymaltose complex contains iron in ferric form, ferrous releases an electron in the gastrointestinal tract before converting into ferric from. This electron is responsible for the formation of free radicals. Since iron is present in ferric form in iron polymaltose complex free radical do not form. Folic acid, a vitamin B, plays a crucial role in DNA synthesis and red blood cell formation. It supports the production and maturation of red blood cells, helping prevent certain types of anemia, particularly megaloblastic anemia. Folic acid is essential for optimal cell division and growth, making it vital during periods of rapid development, such as pregnancy and childhood. Indications: Hemo Forte Syrup is used as prevention & treatment of all kind of iron deficiencies particularly iron deficiency anaemia & for the prevention of folic acid deficiency.

DOSAGE: As directed by the physician.

SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, regurgitation, constipation, pyrosis (burning sensation in the chest), an upset stomach may occur with the use of hematinics.

Iron may cause your stools to turn black, an effect that is not harmful.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hemoforte syrup is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of this product.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Since the iron is complex bound, ionic interaction with foodstuff components & tetracyclines, antacids are unlikely to occur.
