Mechanism of Action: Protein powder supports the synthesis of hemoglobin and other blood proteins, contributing to the formation of healthy red blood cells. Iron is required to maintain optimal health, particularly for helping to form red blood cells (RBC) that carry oxygen around the body. A deficiency in iron indicates that the body cannot produce enough normal red blood cells. Iron deficiency anemia occurs when body stores of iron decrease to very low levels, and the stored iron is insufficient to support normal red blood cell (RBC) production. Ferrous fumarate is essential for hemoglobin production, facilitates oxygen transport in red blood cells, and helps, prevent and treat iron-deficiency anemia. Cupric sulphate contributes to iron metabolism, aiding in the absorption and utilization of iron, and supports the formation of hemoglobin. Magnesium sulphate supports muscle and nerve function, and plays a role in the activation of enzymes involved in energy metabolism. Zinc sulphate essential for immune function, wound healing, and maintenance of healthy skin, and contribute to the overall health of blood cells. Together, Hemoplus address multiple aspects of blood health, including hemoglobin synthesis, oxygen transport, and the overall well-being of blood cells, making the combination capsule effective in supporting haematinic functions.
INDICATIONS: Iron deficiency anaemia, pregnancy anaemia, lactation, loss of appetite, general weakness and convalescence.
DOSAGE: As prescribed by the physician.
SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, regurgitation, constipation, pyrosis (burning sensation in the chest), an upset stomach may occur with the use of hematinics. Iron may cause your stools to turn black, an effect that is not harmful. GI effects can be reduced by taking it with food.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS: Peptic ulcer, regional enteritis, ulcerative colitis, Hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis and hemolytic anaemia and all anaemias other than iron deficiency.
PRECAUTIONS: Oral iron may aggravate existing peptic ulcers, regional enteritis and ulcerative colitis.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Iron compounds taken orally can impair the absorption of tetracycline antibiotics. Manganese also decreases the absorption of tetracycline and quinolone antibiotics. Antacids given concomitantly with iron compounds decrease iron absorption.
STORAGE: Protect from light and store below 25℃.
