MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Ciprofloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic active against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It functions by inhibiting DNA gyrase, a type II topoisomerase, and topoisomerase IV, enzymes necessary to separate bacterial DNA, thereby inhibiting cell division.
INDICATIONS:
This medication treats only bacterial eye and ear infections.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Ciprofloxacin is contraindicated in persons with a history of hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, any member of the quinolone class of antimicrobial agents, or any of the product components.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Eye discomfort, itching, redness, tearing, eyelid crusting, feeling as if something is in your eye, blurred vision, a bad taste in your mouth, or sensitivity to light may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Ciprofloxacin interacts with other drugs, herbal and natural supplements, a characteristic it shares with other widely used antibacterial drugs such as amoxicillin, trimethoprim, azithromycin, cephalexin, and doxycycline.
WARNING:
1. If irritation persists or increases, discontinue the use and consult the physician.
2. Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface as this may contaminate the solution.
DOSAGE:
As directed by the physician.
DIRECTIONS:

Do not use it if the solution contains particles/suspended matter.
