Description: Podotor-CV is a combination of broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic and beta-lactamase inhibitor which is used to treat infections caused by various gram negative and positive bacteria. Pharmaceutical Dosage Form: Tablet Route of Administration: Oral Composition: Each film coated tablet contains: Cefpodoxime Proxetil  IP equivalent to Cefpodoxime                    200 mg Potassium Clavulanate Diluted  IP equivalent to Clavulanic Acid                125 mg Excipients                                             q.s. Colour: Quinoline Yellow Lake Mechanism of Action: Cefpodoxime possess bactericidal activity against numerous gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactam, structurally related to penicillins, which possesses the ability to inactivate a wide range of beta-lactamase enzymes commonly found in micro-organisms resistant to penicillins. Indications: Podotor-CV is indicated for Acute otitis media, Pharyngitis and/or tonsillitis, Community-acquired pneumonia, Acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, Acute, uncomplicated urethral and cervical gonorrhea, Acute, uncomplicated ano-rectal infections, Uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections, Acute maxillary sinusitis, Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (cystitis). Dosage: As directed by the physician. Storage: must be stored below temperature 25°C. Protected from light and moisture. Do not refrigerate.
