They include antibacterials (suppress bacterial growth), antifungal (kill or suppress fungi) agents. The choice of topical steroid with anti-infective depends on the suspected or confirmed infective organism (ie, whether it is a bacteria or fungus) and the potency of the steroid required. Ketoconazole contains the broad-spectrum synthetic antifungal agent, Ketoconazole 2%. Ketoconazole is an imidazole antifungal agent Beclomethasone Dipropionate is a potent glucocorticoid steroid. It is a prodrug of the free form, Beclomethasone. Neomycin is a topical antibiotic for the treatment or destroys the fungi and bacteria which cause skin infections.
