Dextromethorphan suppresses cough by central action on cough center in medulla. Guaiphenesin helps to thin and loosen mucus in the lungs, making it easier to cough up the mucus. Ammonium Chloride is the expectorant which thins mucus. Chlorpheniramine competitively antagonizes histamine at H1 receptor sites.

Calfic syrup is an ideal combination of calcium, iron-folic acid and B12 vitamin. Ferrous Gluconate is formed with iron and gluconic acid. It is only 12 per cent elemental iron. Calcium Gluconate is the calcium salt of gluconic acid, an oxidation product of glucose, and contains 9.3% calcium, which is about one-third of the calcium in the strength of calcium chloride USP.
