DESCRIPTION:
Moxifloxacin 0.5 % Eye Drop is an antibiotic used to treat eye bacterial infections. It relieves the symptoms of the infection by stopping the further growth of the causative microorganisms. Dexamethasone is a very potent and highly selective long-acting glucocorticoid.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Moxifloxacin, a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone, inhibits the DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV required for bacterial DNA replication, repair, and recombination. Dexamethasone acts by controlling the synthesis rate of proteins essential for chemotactic and immunologic reactions and suppresses inflammatory responses.
INDICATIONS:
It is used to treat infections of the eye (conjunctivitis) when caused by bacteria. The active ingredient is moxifloxacin, an ophthalmological anti-infective.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Moxifloxacin ophthalmic solution is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to moxifloxacin, other quinolones, or any of the components in this medication.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Blurred vision, watery eyes, eye pain/dryness/redness/itchiness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor.
WARNING:
1. If irritation persists or increases, discontinue the use and consult the physician.
2. Do not touch the dropper tip on any surface since this may contaminate the solution.
DOSAGE:
As directed by the physician.
DIRECTIONS:
Use the solution within one month after opening the container. Do not use it if the solution contains particles/suspended matter.
STORAGE:
Store protected from light and moisture.
