DESCRIPTION: Seragesic-SP Plus tablet is a medication combining diclofenac potassium and paracetamol for pain relief and inflammation, along with serratiopeptidase that aid in reducing swelling and promoting tissue healing.

MECHANISM OF ACTION: Diclofenac: It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs). Serratiopeptidase: Anti-inflammatory, angioedema and fibrinolytic activity and acts rapidly on localized inflammation. It binds to 2 macroglobulins in the blood in a 1:1 ratio. This helps to mask its antigenicity but retains its enzymatic activity. Levels of serratiopeptidase are slowly transferred to the exudates at the site of infection and inflammation and gradually blood levels decline. Diclofenac + Serratiopeptidase is a combination of two drugs. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that causes pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme that works by breaking down abnormal proteins at the site of inflammation and promotes healing.
INDICATIONS: Inflammatory oedema and swelling, muscular and skeletal pain.
DOSAGE: As directed by the physician.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypersensitivity to the ingredients. Blood coagulation abnormalities, peptic ulcer.
PRECAUTIONS: The patient has a history of GI ulceration, hematemesis, severe cardiac, hepatic and renal impairment or insufficiency, Patient undergoing treatment with anticoagulants.
SIDE EFFECTS: Gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea and gastric discomforts.
