TORQUE'S CFUROTOR-CV

Description: Torque’s Cfurotor-CV is a combination of broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic and beta-lactamase inhibitor which is used to treat infections caused by various gram negative and positive bacteria. Pharmaceutical Dosage Form: Tablet Route of Administration: Oral Composition: Each film coated tablet contains: Cefuroxime Axetil IP Eq. to Cefuroxime ......................... 250 mg Potassium Clavulanate Diluted IP equivalent to Clavulanic Acid        125 mg Excipients Excipients ............................................ q.s. Mechanism of Action. Cefuroxime axetil undergoes hydrolysis by esterase enzymes to convert into its active form, cefuroxime. Cefuroxime inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis following attachment to penicillin binding proteins (PBPs). This results in the interruption of cell wall (peptidoglycan) biosynthesis, which leads to bacterial cell lysis and death. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactam, structurally related to penicillins, which possesses the ability to inactivate a wide range of beta-lactamase enzymes commonly found in micro-organisms resistant to penicillins. Indications: Torque’s Cfurotor-CV is indicated for lower & upper respiratory tract infection, UTI, gynecological infection, skin or soft tissue infection etc. Dosage: As directed by the physician.
