Composition:
Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride I.P. 0.05% w/v
Preservative:
Benzalkonium Chloride Solution (in buffered aqueous solution) I.P. 0.01% w/v
Mechanism of Action: Oxymetazoline hydrochloride nasal drops work by constricting the blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, leading to a reduction in blood flow and swelling. This vasoconstrictive action helps alleviate nasal congestion by decreasing the volume of inflamed tissues, facilitating easier breathing and providing relief from symptoms associated with conditions such as allergies or the common cold.
Indications: Torex Oxy Nasal Drops is indicated for the temporary relief of nasal congestion associated with conditions like allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, and the common cold. It can help alleviate symptoms such as stuffy or runny nose, sneezing, and sinus discomfort.

Contraindications: Torex Oxy Nasal Drops should not be used if child is below 6 years of age, person allergic to oxymetazoline or any other ingredients of this medicine, undergone recent trans-nasal surgery, suffering from narrow angle glaucoma (increased pressure in eyes) and chronic nasal inflammation with very dry nasal passages (rhinitis sicca or atrophic rhinitis).
Drug Interactions: Torex Oxy Nasal Drops should not be taken with the following medicines –
Imipramine
Desipramine
Amitriptyline
Ergonovine
Ergotamine
Dihydroergotamine
Linezolid
Selegiline
