Mechanism of Action: Beclomethasone dipropionate exerts its anti-inflammatory effects by binding to glucocorticoid receptors, inhibiting inflammatory mediator release, suppressing immune responses, and reducing edema, providing relief in various inflammatory skin conditions. Neomycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to bacterial ribosomes. It exhibits broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, particularly against Gram-negative bacteria, aiding in the prevention and treatment of bacterial infections. Clotrimazole inhibits ergosterol synthesis, a crucial component of fungal cell membranes. It exhibits antifungal activity against a variety of fungi, disrupting their cell membrane integrity and preventing fungal growth.
Indications: Scabisin-OC Cream addresses various aspects of skin conditions, providing anti-inflammatory relief, treating fungal infections, and preventing or treating bacterial complications.

Contraindications: Patients with a history of hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to any of the components in the combination should avoid its use.
Precautions: Concurrent use of multiple topical medications may increase the risk of skin irritation. Apply different topical products at different times. Prolonged or extensive use of corticosteroids, such as beclomethasone dipropionate, can lead to systemic absorption and potential corticosteroid-related side effects. While clotrimazole is primarily used topically, systemic antifungal medications may interact with the antifungal component of the combination.
