MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Inhibits DNA gyrase and inhibits the synthesis of bacterial DNA. They act as bactericidal, notably against gram-negative bacteria.
INDICATIONS:
It is used to treat infections caused by certain bacteria. It is most commonly used to treat infections of the skin, sinuses, bone, lung, ear, abdomen, kidney, prostate, and bladder.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or any other ingredients of this medication, allergy to other quinolone antibiotics, taking tizanidine.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Nausea, dizziness, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and skin rashes.
DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Cyclosporine, tizanidine, multivitamins that contain iron, omeprazole.
DOSAGE:
As directed by the physician.
DIRECTIONS:
Ciprofloxacin tablets should be taken before or after meals.
During treatment patients with Cipromac should receive enough amounts of liquids.
STORAGE:
Store in a cool, dry & dark place.
