DESCRIPTION: Ciprox Suspension contains Ciprofloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for DNA replication. It is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections affecting the respiratory, urinary, and gastrointestinal tracts in children.

MECHANISM OF ACTION: Inhibits DNA gyrase and inhibits the synthesis of bacterial DNA. They act as bactericidal, notably against gram-negative bacteria.
INDICATIONS: It is used to treat infections caused by certain bacteria. It is most commonly used to treat infections of the skin, sinuses, bone, lung, ear, abdomen, kidney, prostate, and bladder.
DOSAGE: As directed by the physician.
SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, dizziness, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and skin rashes.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or any other ingredients of this medication, Allergy to other quinolone antibiotics, or taking tizanidine.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Cyclosporine, tizanidine, sildenafil, multivitamins that contain iron, and omeprazole.
DIRECTIONS: During treatment, patients with Cipromac should receive enough amounts of liquids.
STORAGE: Store in a cool, dry & dark place.
