Description: Fiximac-O Tablet combines Cefixime and Ofloxacin to effectively treat a range of bacterial infections, including respiratory, urinary, and gastrointestinal infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial growth and preventing DNA replication. Mechanism of Action: Cefixime exerts its antibacterial action by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls through binding to penicillin-binding proteins, disrupting the formation of the cell wall and leading to bacterial cell death. Ofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA replication by inhibiting bacterial topoisomerases, particularly DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. Indications: Fiximac-O Tablet is used for the treatment of patients with typhoid fever and urinary tract infection in adults. Dosage: As prescribed by the physician. Storage: Protect from light and store below 300 Presentation: 10X1X10 Tablets Side effects: Nausea Abdominal pain Allergy Diarrhea Stomach pain Contraindications: Fiximac-O Tablet is contraindicated in patients with a known allergy to Cefixime/ Ofloxacin or to the Cephalosporin/ fluoroquinolone group of antibiotics.
