MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Fluconazole interacts with 14-α demethylase, a cytochrome P-450 enzyme necessary to convert lanosterol to ergosterol. As ergosterol is an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, inhibition of its synthesis results in increased cellular permeability causing leakage of cellular contents.
INDICATIONS:
Fluconazole is used to treat fungal infections, including yeast infections of the vagina, mouth, throat, oesophagus, abdomen, lungs, blood, and other organs.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the medicine.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, stomach pain, heartburn, change inability to taste food.
DOSAGE:
As prescribed by the physician.
STORAGE:
Store in a dry place below 25℃. Protect from light.
