DESCRIPTION: Ketomac Lotion is an antifungal lotion containing 2% ketoconazole, a potent antifungal agent that effectively treats fungal skin infections by inhibiting fungal growth. It helps relieve itching, redness, and scaling, promoting healthy and clear skin.

COMPOSITION: Ketoconazole I.P. 2% w/v, Lotion Base q.s.
MECHANISM OF ACTION: Ketoconazole inhibits the enzyme 14-α-demethylase, blocking the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption weakens the cell membrane, leading to increased permeability and death of the fungus.
INDICATIONS: Ketomac Lotion is an antifungal medication used to treat various skin and scalp infections caused by fungi and yeast.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Wet your hair & scalp and apply sufficient Ketomac lotion to produce enough lather. Massage for one minute and rinse with warm water. Repeat the procedure for an additional 3 minutes. Rinse with warm water & dry hair. Use twice a week for four weeks, followed by once weekly as maintenance therapy or use as directed by the physician.
SIDE EFFECTS: The most common side effects of Ketomac anti-fungal lotion are mild skin reactions at the application site, such as itching, burning, and redness.
CAUTION: Keep out of eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Discontinue if signs of irritation or inflammation occur.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Ketomac anti-fungal lotion is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients or to ketoconazole itself.
STORAGE: Store in a dry and dark place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
