LYRED SUSPENSION

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
A comprehensive tonic is an ideal combination of Lycopene with vitamins and minerals. Lycopene is the most potent carotenoid antioxidant, i.e., it protects body cells against the effects of free radicals. It is the most powerful quencher of singlet oxygen. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is one of the water-soluble B-complex vitamins. Niacin or nicotinic acid, also known as Vitamin B3, is required by the body for digestive processes. Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) plays a role in the metabolism of protein, fats, and carbohydrates.

Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) has a vital role in the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system and in the formation of blood. Folic acid is a form of water-soluble vitamin B9 and is a critical factor in synthesizing nucleic acid (DNA & RNA). It is vital for the production of healthy red blood cells. Selenium is a trace mineral essential to good health (especially useful in diabetic patients) but required only in very small amounts. Zinc gluconate is the zinc salt of gluconic acid. It is particularly important in both pregnancy and also childhood for proper development. Enhances immune function. Iodine has been used in the temporary treatment of hyperthyroidism (graves disease). It increases the storage of the thyroid hormone thyroxine, helping to prevent its release. Copper is an essential trace element vital to all living things’ health.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any of the ingredients of this medicine.

DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Concomitant use of cholestyramine, colestipol, and mineral oil may decrease the absorption of this medicine.
