MECHANISM OF ACTION: Pregabalin is an anticonvulsant and anxiolytic agent that binds to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system. By binding to these channels, Pregabalin modulates calcium influx, reducing the release of neurotransmitters, including glutamate. This action dampens the excitability of nerve cells and helps alleviate neuropathic pain. Methylcobalamin is an active form of vitamin B12. It plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the myelin sheath that surrounds nerve fibers.

INDICATIONS: Mycomin-PG capsule is used to manage neuropathic pain, diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, and other neurological conditions involving nerve pain.

SIDE EFFECTS: Dizziness, sleepiness, trouble concentrating, blurry vision, dry mouth, weight gain, and swelling in hands or feet.
