DESCRIPTION: Phenylephrine is a selective 1-adrenergic receptor agonist used primarily as a decongestant; Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antihistamine. PACKING: 168x15ml COMPOSITION: Each ml contains:

Phenylephrine Hydrochloride	I.P.	5 mg
Chlorpheniramine Maleate	I.P.	2 mg

MECHANISM OF ACTION: Phenylephrine decreases nasal congestion by acting on ?1-adrenergic receptors in the arterioles of the nasal mucosa to produce constriction; this leads to decreased edema and increased drainage of the sinus cavities. Chlorpheniramine competitively antagonizes histamine at H1 receptor sites. INDICATIONS: Nasal congestion, runny nose, itching nose or throat, itchy, watery eyes. CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of this product. SIDE EFFECTS: Skin rash, swelling of face, blurred vision, dry mouth, nausea. DOSAGE: As directed by the physician.
