Description: Torque’s Telmitor 40 Tablets contain Telmisartan which is a nonpeptide angiotensin II receptor (type AT1) antagonist.
Pharmaceutical Dosage Form: Tablet
Route of Administration: Oral
Composition: Each uncoated tablet contains:
Telmisartan I.P. 40 mg
Mechanism of Action: Telmisartan blocks the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin ll by selectively blocking the binding of angiotensin ll to the AT1 receptor in many tissues, such as vascular smooth muscle and the adrenal gland. Its action is therefore independent of the pathways for angiotensin ll synthesis.
Indications: Torque’s Telmitor 40 is indicated in the treatment of hypertension, to lower blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of fatal and nonfatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions.
Dosage: As directed by the physician.
Storage: Store protected from light & moisture at a temperature not exceeding 30°C

Contraindications: Torque’s Telmitor 40 is contraindicated in patients with a known allergy to constituents or excipients, during pregnancy and lactation, in patients with severe hepatic failure or renal impairment or Dual Blockade of the Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System
