Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic with a broad spectrum that belongs to the family of medications known as quinolones.

MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Inhibits DNA gyrase and inhibits the synthesis of bacterial DNA. They act as bactericidal, notably against gram-negative bacteria.
INDICATIONS:
It is used to treat infections caused by certain bacteria. It is most commonly used to treat infections of the skin, sinuses, bone, lung, ear, abdomen, kidney, prostate, and bladder.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or any other ingredients of this medication, Allergy to other quinolone antibiotics, taking tizanidine.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Nausea, dizziness, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and skin rashes.
DRUG INTERACTIONS:
Cyclosporine, tizanidine, sildenafil, multivitamins that contain iron, omeprazole.
DOSAGE:
As directed by the physician.
DIRECTIONS:
During treatment patients with Cipromac should receive enough amounts of liquids.
